For over 30 years, Shifa's CO-founder and CEO, Araf Saddiq, has worked as a frontline paramedic, attending thousands of emergencies and witnessing some of the most critical moments in people's lives.
Throughout his career, one thing has always remained clear: when an emergency happens, the first few minutes matter.
Before professional help arrives, it is often a colleague, family member, friend or member of the public who is first on scene. Having the knowledge and confidence to recognise an emergency and take action can make a real difference.

It was this frontline experience, combined with Araf's passion for education, that led to the creation of Shifa Training and Consultancy. Araf wanted to go beyond simply handing out pieces of paper.
Shifa's training is delivered by experienced paramedics, nurses and doctors, many of whom continue to work on the frontline. By combining real-life clinical experience with practical, scenario-based learning, Shifa aims to make first aid training engaging, relevant and memorable.
